Field Guides
A series of field
Guides to
Hunting, Preparing
and Cooking all manner of
Game, Fish, Vermin
and Wild Food. The first of these is now
available. As and
when the others in the series are completed, they can be
accessed via the buttons on the left
Each Volume is a celebration of the Sports, traditions and country arts that form part
of the whole process of bringing Wild Food to your table.
We make no apology that these Volumes contain all of the blood and guts of Hunting and Butchery that
would never be shown on entertainment shows.
The hunting sequences within these volumes are entire, clear, and above all – what has actually happened
in the course of a days Sport. We believe that this is the only way to create viewing that not only entertains,
but actually provides a valuable insight into real lessons learned while in the field. The Hunt Prepare &
Cook series sets out to break new ground using CGI (Computer Generated imagery) and Satellite
technology. These are combined to create high tech graphics that show clearly how the hunt develops and
how terrain, weather and hunting tactics influence the action.
Your Guide is TV Chef Mike Robinson – He has Hunted and cooked virtually every variety of beast, and
within these volumes he will demonstrate several creative and delicious recipes – for the quarry featured -
from start to finish.
The wealth of information within each volume is very ‘hands on’ – but it is not a ‘how to’ instruction manual, it is more a ‘how do’ guide; in
that it sets out to show you the viewer, how various renowned experts use their personal skills and traditions to Hunt, Prepare and
Cook.Featuring Chapters on:
Mike is well known as a Chef for his many TV Series; The Good Food Channel's Chalet Slaves. Safari Chef, BBC 2's Saturday Kitchen,
BBC 1's Ready Steady Cook and Countryfile, UKTV - Heaven's Kitchen and his latest series Heaven's Kitchen at Large.
